Against more practical judgment (seeing as I have a blog and all...), I decided to put enjoying and experiencing this vacation above capturing it digitally. Also, it was pretty steamy (literally) in a few places, so photography was rendered pretty ineffective for capturing the scenery. There's more than enough documentation in case the memory fails, though, so I thought I would share a few. These first are from a quick stop in Bangkok (mostly to eat and shop!) and then Penang, Malaysia (mostly to eat and...eat!). I hadn't been to Penang since I was a wee one, and it turned out to be my favorite stop--the people are very gracious, and the food is absolutely delicious. Did I mention you can gorge yourself for about $1/dish? Heaven.
